About Commitment Skåne
In the summer of 2015 the Swedish Migrationboard gave us a hint about the quantity of refugees arriving to Sweden would end up at a number of 80 000. In the fall, the same year, it was clear that this prognosis would not match up. Sweden had by the end of the year received 160 000 new arrivals.
At an early stage we had to realize that when a larger group of people arrives to a country that means a challenge but at the same time a lot of possibilities.
To work with the possibilities, to understand the different opportunities that companies have to commit and of course to take advantage of skills in a faster way were some of the key words that got a number of companies together with Arbetsförmedlingen to create what we call Commitment Skåne
Commitment Skåne is a collaboration that has its long-term purpose to get organizations to work together regarding finding the easiest, most effective ways, to shorten the time as unemployed for foreign-born. At the same time we can create a great dialogue regarding deficit professions that are now increasing on the labor market in Sweden.
By working together we have the ability to try new methods – by learning from each other and by the way we can inspire each other. We commit based on our own conditions and opportunities and hopefully we sometimes can challenge each other to new ways of thinking.
We have come to terms with the following head-lines/topics:
Internship and labor-evaluations
To create venues for different purposes
